Martha & Stephen’s Wedding at the Small Frye Farms

This wedding was so FUN! Stephen and Martha’s chemistry is undeniable, and it showed in everything about these nuptials. Both away from home for jobs in St. Louis, they met on a blind date through Match.com; and after a second date, they both knew they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. The two connect on romance, humor, and just about everything else under the sun. They are seriously one of the cutest and most in-love couples we have ever worked with. Their energy is infectious!

The wedding took place on Saturday, June 3rd on Martha’s family owned farm, and Soirée was hired for full wedding planning services. This century farm is breathtaking, but we brought in tents, chivari chairs, beautiful white string lights, candles galore, and home-grown flowers to add the right elements to this magical location. It was important to the couple to host their guests in a place that meant so much to them.

The ceremony began in the late afternoon behind the barn in a shaded area that was lovingly dubbed “The Walnut Grove”. The mature trees had been planted in rows decades ago and created the most picturesque forest wedding. Family and friends gathered around the center where the bride and groom, maid of honor, best man, and officiant stood. It was so warm & intimate! Once the bride and groom said their “I Do’s”, it was party time for the newly couple and all their closest friends and family!

For the reception, family and friends were able to hang out in the many barns, tents, and other locations throughout the gorgeous farm. It was important to Martha and Steven that the guests could explore the venue grounds and relax throughout the entire night. Because of this, we stationed food and drink stations in the heart of the farm with lots of seating options nearby. Maggie’s Wood Fired Pizza, Oasis Falafel, Ruzicka’s, and Deluxe Bakery provided the most yummy food, and their staff were incredible. Avery from Unique Events (who might I add, rocked it!), was stationed under the luminous main tent next to the packed dance floor. One of our favorite parts of this wedding were the wireless uplights on the big red barn from Unique Events; simply amazing!
