Sew In Love!

Technically, Nichole and Corey met at a karaoke bar in Des Moines, IA, but they didn’t really take a second look at each other. It wasn’t until about 4 months later while working for the same sewing machine company at a quilt show in Daytona Beach, FL when they really hit it off. However, since they lived over 2000 miles away from each other, they were limited to flirty texting back and forth for about 2 months.

When they finally met up at another work event, they spent every possible second together. As the week-long event was wrapping up and they were supposed to go their separate ways, Corey invited Nichole on vacation with some friends. During that 2 week trip, Corey and Nichole ventured out on our own to kayak in the bay. She says it is still one of her my favorite memories because at that moment she realized she had fallen madly in love, even though they had only been together for 3 weeks.

Later on in their relationship, when Corey stayed by her side with support and encouragement as she navigated some tough times in her life, she absolutely knew those instincts were correct. Around that same time, Corey was feeling the same way, and Nichole was flying out to California to help him pack and move across the country. It was on that trip that he told her he loved her for the first time.

A Sweet Sunday Surprise

Nichole was a little suspicious that Corey had something up his sleeve when he told her to get ready while he made mimosas and a big breakfast at their home. Seemingly nervous and excited, he kept repeatedly telling her throughout the meal how much he loved her. He then told her to cover her eyes because he had a present for her. By then she 100% knew what was coming, but he still thought he was being sly. While her eyes were closed, he acted like he was pulling some huge gift out of the closet – which was hilarious because she could tell he really wasn’t. When she opened my eyes, Corey was down on one knee. Before he could even say anything Nichole practically attacked him with excitement and said “YES!”

A Dream Wedding Experience

Wanting help with all the details, Corey and Nichole booked our expertise with The Experience Package for full event design and planning. We used our organizational skills to help execute Nichole’s amazing vision for her wedding day, while keeping her on budget. It was a fun day to remember forever and we are grateful we were chosen to be a part of it!
