The Wedding That Started With A Wedding

Having both grown up in Waterloo with the same friend groups, Ben and Morgan should have met long before a mutual friend’s wedding in July 2016. But fate led them to that special day in time and the rest was history!

Going The Distance For Love

With Morgan living in Minneapolis and Ben in Waterloo, they traveled back and forth every weekend to spend time with each other. Knowing there was something special between them from the moment they met, those Sunday goodbyes and long 3.5 hour drives were worth it.

When A Surprise Birthday…

Morgan was excited that Ben was taking her out to the place they first met, Annie’s Bar, before her birthday margarita crawl. Much to her surprise, they walked in the bar and so many of friends were there, including her besties from college- one of whom flew all the way in from Baltimore. Morgan was so excited, she cried, and then congratulated Ben for pulling off a surprise! She’s not an easy person to surprise and Ben gets so excited about surprises that he always gives them away.

…Turned Into A Surprise Proposal

About 30 minutes after they got to Annie’s, Ben got down on one knee. Morgan was so excited, she thinks she said yes before he could even say anything! They said it was the perfect day surrounded by their favorite people!

The Perfect Day

Morgan and Ben couldn’t wait to party with their favorite people again on their wedding day. Their beautiful wedding at Dubuque’s St. Columbkille’s Church was followed by a fun filled reception at the Grand River Center.
