Megan & Braxton’s Wedding at Little Lights on the Lane in West Branch, IA
Little Lights on the Lane Wedding | West Branch, Iowa
Written In The Stars
This lovely couple met as young freshmen in college in Davenport, IA. Braxton was going to St. Ambrose and Megan came from the University of Illinois to visit a friend. They met and then continued to flirt passively on Twitter every year until Megan would make her yearly visit to St. Ambrose. Flash forward a couple years after graduation (and a couple years of not talking anymore), and they reconnected out of the blue when she moved to Chicago. He came to visit from Davenport to see what was between them, and the rest is history!
Megan distinctly remembers that weekend after Braxton came to visit her in Chicago. She told her friends “I’ll either never see him again or this is going to be it.” She was so sure that he was her person that she knew nothing could be casual. About 9 months into their relationship, they were at a winery in the city having the best date. She looked at him and just “knew.” They now have a picture of the sky from that night hanging on the wall in their apartment. They both know that some unspeakable magic happened at that moment in time for both of them.
A Winter Cabin Proposal
After almost a year of COVID, Megan was feeling the “nothing to look forward to” blues. Little did she know that Braxton had been planning something very special for months. He booked one of their favorite Airbnbs up in the mountains a couple hours outside of Seattle and invited Megan’s brother and his fiancé up from Portland. After snowshoeing and building snowmen one morning, they got back to the house and walked out to the gazebo in the front yard. They set up the camera to take some pictures overlooking the valley before the sun set. Then Braxton pulled out a ring and got down on one knee in the middle of this dreamy winter wonderland!
It’s Better With A Team
Megan loved the wedding planning process and wanted to be a hands-on bride, but also recognized how extremely helpful it would be to have a local expert on her planning team. Wedding planning can be tough, but especially planning one from across the country. And, as a product manager as her job, she wanted to be able to focus on her and Braxton’s love and enjoy their wedding day without switching her brain into work mode. That’s where we came in! The couple booked our Assistant Package and we got to work planning their dream wedding!
We loved planning your wedding, Megan & Braxton! Congratulations!
