Mary & Jeremy’s Wedding at Winnebago Springs in Caledonia, Minnesota

Their Serene Venue

Mary & Jeremy were married on May 4th, 2019, and we were hired to help coordinate their day. She chose a gorgeous venue in the small town of Calendonia, Minnesota, located just on the other side of the Iowa border, north of Decorah. We were excited to check out the new venue since we had never been there previously. Wow, were we surprised! Winnebago Springs was quite impressive with many amenities in a serene atmosphere. The outdoor “air” chapel has open sides, white chairs, and a full roof allowing couples to say their vows rain or shine. The metal-framed “windows” reminds us of the shape of a stained glass window, yet it’s without any glass allowing soft breezes to flow through the ceremony. The venue has a lovely reception room includes a beautiful fireplace up front and lots of space for up to 250 guests. We were especially impressed with all of the extra storage, large kitchen, and a big bar area. Additionally, there are many nice cabins that were used for the wedding party and guests to stay overnight in & get ready on the wedding day.

Beautiful Location

Nothing beats the gorgeous scenery that surrounds the chapel and reception hall. As evident in the photos below, beautiful scenery surrounds the venue. Winnebago Springs is situated in a gorgeous valley complete with rolling hills and a stunning waterfall! It was so fun to take photos of the happy couple alongside their wedding party in front of the rushing water coming down from the rocky cliffs into a rushing creek. This was about an 8-10 minute walk from the ceremony area, and so luckily we had enough time in our day to go there. We recommend renting a golf cart or two for this property, as that would be helpful to the photo/video team and the wedding party to travel around the property for pictures.

Soirée’s Role

The Essentials Package was perfect for Mary & Jeremy. They had most everything figured out when they contacted us and knew that our services were the ‘icing on the cake’ for their celebration. She had planned most of her wedding on her own with the help of family & friends. The most important part was for her to be able to enjoy her wedding to Jeremy and knowing that someone was going to take over all the organization on the day-of. We met a few weeks prior to the wedding day to discuss her timeline and all of the vendors she had hired. We reached out to everyone to confirm Mary’s plans before the wedding week. By the time we arrived on Saturday, we knew it was going to be a wonderful event. To help avoid a costly delivery & installation fee, we picked up the greenery for the tables and the bridal floral for her on our way. We are always happy to run small errands for any of our couples!
