Their Story

Jason and Maddie met in college while attending the University of Iowa. Both were in Bo James bar one evening with friends during the winter. Jason’s friends forced him to sing a karaoke song because he had earned the last-place spot in the fantasy football season. Maddie was in the audience. According to her, “His stellar performance just swept me off my feet, I suppose.”

Maddie and Jason grew as a couple over the years. After graduating and moving to Chicago, they adopted two dogs and purchased a home together. Even through the hard times, they know they never want to spend a day without each other.

Maddie was on high alert for a proposal after they shopped for engagement rings. She thought that a trip to Miami would have been the time Jason would get down on one knee and ask her to marry him. He didn’t propose in Miami, though. Maddie’s dad picked her and Jason up from the airport and took them home. Maddie walked into their house filled with flowers and their friends and family hiding downstairs. Jason got down on one knee and finally asked her to marry her!

With her venue chosen and the wedding party picked, Maddie knew she needed help with all the tasks that came with wedding planning.
