Lora & Isaac’s Family Farm Wedding

Boy meets girl, they fall in love, and they live happily ever after. That is exactly Lora & Isaac’s story. The two met through co-workers playing matchmaker. After meeting, Lora had a gut feeling that she should text Isaac, and she is so glad she did! The two have been in love ever since.

Soirée was hired to coordinate the two lovebird’s wedding day which started with traveling to Morely, IA (near Anamosa) to the bride’s family farm for a small intimate ceremony. The couple stood in front of a truly picturesque setting surrounded by about one hundred of the couple’s family & friends. A wooden arch in a field of grass and trees was adorned with gorgeous floral pieces.

The personal touches for this wedding were everywhere. To start, Lora wore her grandmother’s wedding gown which also had pieces of her mother’s wedding dress sewn in as well. How special is that! The rings were photographed with the family bible which has been passed down for generations. In the spirit of keeping things traditional, the bride and groom didn’t see each other before the ceremony and that made the day even more emotional. It was lovely to watch the couple seeing each other for the first time. Such a special moment! Lora also surprised everyone by singing a beautiful song to Isaac during the ceremony, something that only the musicians, officiant, and we knew was going to happen!

After photos, everyone went to the Linn County Fairgrounds for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Everything went smoothly and the 400 guests had a blast enjoying wonderful food and drinks to the awesome music from the DJ. One of our favorite things was the adorable replica of the couple’s puppy on their wedding cake.
