Laurynn & Josh’s Wedding at the Radisson Hotel in Coralville, Iowa

Lifeguarding at the UI Rec Center

Laurynn and Josh met while working at the University of Iowa Rec Center as lifeguards. She was pretty nervous going in for her first day but little did she know, she would be walking into a new job to find the love of her life! When she got there, she saw him and immediately thought he was super attractive. She even called her mom after work to tell her about him! After that first day and meeting Josh, she knew he was the one.

Getting Engaged

Fast forward about two years later, they knew they wanted to get married. They had discussed it many times but they were both in super busy times of their lives. Laurynn was working to get her second degree and Josh was focusing on his Master’s degree. With so much going on, they knew that their time would come, it was just a matter of when. After they had both graduated, Laurynn was expecting it at pretty much every single big event they would come across. With no luck as possible occasions came and went, the biggest event finally came! They were getting dinner with his family one night in the mall and he had them distract Laurynn while he went and bought the ring! (A pretty good way to avoid Laurynn ever finding it beforehand if you ask us!) After that, he suggested going to the Mahaffey Bridge to watch the sunset. As sweet and romantic as that sounds, Laurynn was tired and still had some things to do, so she was not really on board with this idea. Finally, Josh talked her into stopping by, and that’s when he popped the question!

The Wedding Plans

It was super important for Laurynn & Josh to work with a company that could help them ensure their day was stress & anxiety FREE; and we did just that, because Laurynn and Josh booked Soiree for The Essentials Package. We made sure that all their plans were going well in the weeks leading up to the big day. Their summertime wedding was nothing short of beautiful with gorgeous shades of pink and lots of greenery and florals. Including their “Dog of Honor” made the day even more personal for them and we loved it! This was perfect for the couple, as they already had most of their details for the day ironed out, but wanted help with the finishing touches and wanted someone there on the day-of to make sure things went smoothly. Their day was brought together and made a success by a team of great vendors!

We were so happy to be there and help make their day memorable! Special to thanks to all their vendors for also making things happen for these two. Congratulations Laurynn and Josh!
