Where It All Started

Krystal and Cary met through work in Houston, and they say things just clicked right away. It didn’t take long before they realized how much they had in common. From matching fanny packs to similar music and movie tastes, everything felt easy between them. Early on, Cary even told a coworker after one of their first dates, “I’m going to marry that woman one day.”

The Wedding Day

Even though they’re both from Texas, Krystal and Cary chose to get married in Dubuque at the same venue where Cary’s grandparents were married. It was a meaningful choice that made the day feel even more special. Their florals mixed light oranges, whites, and greenery, creating a simple but elegant look. They also tied in lavender throughout the design — from Cary’s suit accents to Krystal’s lavender hair. With around 110 guests, they planned a relaxed and easygoing celebration where everyone could enjoy the day together.

Working with Soirée

Planning a wedding from another state can be tough, so Krystal and Cary wanted someone familiar with the area to help with logistics and be there on the day of.
