Kristina & Charles’ Wedding at the IMU in Iowa City

Kristina and Charles got married this past summer at the IMU in Iowa City, and we are delighted to share these images from Weddings by Carue of the big day.

This was a ton of fun to plan, and was a little bit different of a role for us at Soirée. We already had another wedding booked for this day, so we helped Kristina and her mom, Dianne, with only the pre-planning. We weren’t there to see everything happen in person; but it is clear the wedding day was wonderful!

The day started for Kristina and Charles like most weddings – getting ready separately followed by a first look outside the Iowa Memorial Union on the bridge over the river. Charles looked so handsome in his navy suit and Kristina, a gorgeous bride. Her hair was done by a family friend and her makeup by Airbrush by Liz. The floral was by Mint Julep and perfectly suited the design aesthetic that the bride had envisioned. After the lovely ceremony at the Newman Center, the celebration began in the Main Lounge at the IMU. We especially love the bride & groom’s fun entrance on their electric scooter! What a fun & memorable surprise for everyone! The night was organized by the talented emcee and DJ at Unique Events who made sure the guests had a ton of fun.
