Katie and Colin chose the Hyatt Regency in Coralville for their reception, and the day turned out absolutely beautiful. It was sunny and warm—perfect for a spring wedding. They chose a color palette of sage green, white, gold, and black, which was reflected in every detail of the day. Even during the getting-ready moments, Katie and her bridesmaids tied into the theme by wearing the cutest sage green PJs. The ceremony took place outdoors, and the ballroom for the reception was transformed with elegant gold touches and floor-to-ceiling draping.

Reception Highlights

The reception was full of fun, laughter, and love. From delicious food to heartfelt speeches from the wedding party, it was truly a night to remember. Guests enjoyed an array of creative desserts—brookies, seven-layer bars, and scotcheroos—served alongside a classic white wedding cake. The floral arrangements were stunning, with elegant white blooms and greenery throughout the space. And once the dance floor opened, it stayed packed all night long.
