Busy with their careers, like many other couples, they turned to online sources to meet someone, and ended up meeting “the one”! Kate and Zaid first met online through Bumble. Their chatting went so well that it wasn’t long before their first date at Vue in Iowa City. They knew from the start they just fit together!

Hallmark Movie Proposal

Dr. Zaid planned his romantic proposal to Kate for months. He popped the question at the perfect moment- in front of the fire at Kate’s parent’s cabin in the Mississippi bluffs right before Christmas. It sounds like a scene straight out of a Christmas Hallmark movie! She said yes, of course!

A Marriage of Iraq & Iowa

Zaid’s from Iraq and Kate is an Iowa native, so it was important for them to incorporate both of their backgrounds and cultures together on their wedding day. Kate’s skill as an art museum curator can be seen in the thoughtful design details of their beautiful day. The couple wanted a stress-free wedding day and planning process and booked The Experience package. And they wanted a brunch celebration! It was so much fun to plan & design! We helped with everything from the vendor selection to the logistics. With our help, nothing fell through the cracks. Kate and Zaid are such a wonderful couple and we loved working with them.
