Love stories often begin in the most unexpected places, and for Kate and TJ, it all started with a chance encounter at work. Little did they know that a red dress, a crowded bar, and a heartfelt proclamation would set the stage for a love sweeping them off their feet. The beautiful tale of Kate and TJ, a couple whose connection blossomed through friendship, a shared passion for college football, and a momentous dance that sealed their fate.

One night, Kate and TJ found themselves walking home, where they discovered a magical scene — a makeshift dance floor and stage illuminated by twinkling lights. TJ, renowned for his dancing skills, whisked Kate onto the dance floor, spinning her around and around. In that moment, the world faded away, leaving only the two connected by an invisible thread of love.

Creating Unforgettable Moments

Kate and TJ decided they wanted to get married in their hometown of Clear Lake, Iowa. With their sights set on the Central Gardens for their ceremony and the Surf Ballroom for their reception, they contacted Soirée Wedding Planning. After meeting with Emily, they chose the Experience Package. Kate and TJ wanted to create an unforgettable celebration for themselves, along with their friends and family. Emily and the team at Soirée helped Kate and TJ create an amazing & crazy FUN party.

I love being able to show a couple the event space before the rest of the guests come in. It’s a magical moment in the design journey! Kate was so happy to see how we transformed this historic ballroom into the gorgeous dusty blue and navy celebration.
