Perfect Plans

Kate & Ryan reached out to us about ten months prior to their wedding and explained that the biggest thing would want help with is the day-of coordinating. However, once we learned more about their experience planning that far, they shared that it had been pretty stressful with their busy school schedules, travel, and work. The Essentials Package was perfectly suited for their needs, and we got started right away over email & text! Our role was to make sure the couple had checked all the boxes ensuring all details were covered for their big day! It was so fun helping them with their vendor selections and organizing all of the other details to make their day so special!

Falling In Love

The couple met briefly on their first day in the MBA program at the University of Iowa, wandering the halls of the business building. They didn’t truly get to know each other until about halfway through the semester when they were randomly assigned to sit together at a networking event. All the other tables had six to eight people, but for some reason, they were the only two assigned to the table. A week later they ended up spending time together with friends after a football game and really hit it off. Kate says, “I knew from after our first date that Ryan was different from any other person I’d met. Our conversations were so easy and he was a great guy!”

The Engagement

Kate & Ryan planned a camping trip to the beautiful Oregon coast. They flew out of Minneapolis early in the morning and when they arrived in Seattle they picked up the rental car and met Ryan’s parents for lunch. Afterward, they drove 5 hours to the coast. By the time they got to the campsite and set up our tent, they were exhausted but decided to go on a sunset walk on the beach. In her words, “he was being very shady because, for the first time ever, he was carrying around a satchel.” Of course, we know now, it had the ring inside! They found a private space on the beach to watch the sun go down and Ryan proposed!
