The Start of It All

Kate and Nate met on Bumble in 2021 and hit it off right away over tacos and a margarita flight at Campeche in Galena. After dinner, they went over to Grant Park, where they had their first kiss. Fast forward to one of the most memorable moments of their relationship. Kate had just read her published poetry at a literary magazine launch, and afterward, they took a walk through Eagle Point Park. That’s where Nate pulled out a handwritten poem of his own and proposed.

Planning the Weekend with Soirée

At Soirée, Kate and Nate worked with Emily and used our Assistant package, which was perfect for them because they wanted to be involved while still having expert guidance. We had regular check-ins, shared timelines, and worked together on all the small details to bring their day to life. We also managed all of the stationery and other important guest-facing details.

The Day Of

Their spring wedding was filled with laughter and small moments. The day started with Kate and her bridesmaids in matching pink PJs, getting ready together and soaking it all in. The soft green dresses and wildflower-style florals added a whimsical vibe that carried throughout the day. The coolest part? They got married at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, which provided some cool photo opportunities, including views of the fish tanks. They also added some enjoyable personal touches, such as signature cocktails and a trolley for the wedding party to ride around in between events.
