Joslyn & Scott’s Wedding at Celebration Farms in Iowa City

An MD marries her MBA

We loved working with Joslyn for her wedding to Scott! They are both are in the healthcare field for their jobs, and it’s clear they are so in love with each other. We were contacted by Joslyn back in February which was about seven months prior to her wedding date. She chose our Assistant Package which is great for couples who have made some great initial progress, but want help completing tasks on their checklists, making timelines, and confirming everything that needs to be done!

A Fabulous Fall Day in Iowa

The day was one of those gorgeous fall days where the weather isn’t too hot and it was still warm enough that no one needed coats. The Graduate Hotel has a lovely bridal getting ready room, near its Top Golf suite that has giant windows, perfect for all photography needs. The couple stood in front of a gorgeous greenery wall in Downtown Iowa City for their first look and some of their initial portraits, before everyone headed out to the Celebration Farm for the ceremony and reception.

Stunning Paper Flowers

One of the best parts of this wedding was the decorations all hand-made by the bride herself. Seriously, she handcrafted each flower by hand, petal by petal by using her Cricut. We have never seen homemade decorations like these as professional and as beautifully made. Every flower was different, unique, and perfect! From her own large bouquet to each bridesmaids bouquet and boutonniere, each floral was carefully handmade after she got off work each night for weeks. Wow, right?! The photobooth also had the most incredible backdrop for guests to stand in front of!

We truly enjoyed working with all these incredible vendors from this wedding and we’re sad this one is over! Congratulations to the happy couple! We wish you the best!
