Falling in Love and Getting Engaged

Jenny & Michael met in the Social Work program at the University of Iowa. She remembers thinking that he was “super cute” on the first day of class. A group project and some carpooling later, they were officially dating by their second semester! How sweet!

The engagement is a perfect modern love story. Jenny and Michael went out on the town one night in Downtown Iowa City. It wasn’t just any night though. It was the night before Michael was planning to propose! They were planning to meet up with some friends, but at one point, they ended up splitting to two different places. By the end of the night, Michael came in to swoop Jenny up, take her home, and make her some pizza. A true gentleman! After yelling at their Amazon Echo to play Rihanna multiple times, Jenny fell asleep on the couch, so Michael crashed in the recliner next to her to make sure she was okay throughout the night. The next morning, the two ventured out to enjoy the nice weather they were having and went to Wilson’s Apple Orchard. Next thing you know, Michael was on one knee!

The Assistant Package

We love it when couples get started with their wedding plans and then reach out to us for help with making sure all the details get covered! At the time that they booked with us (this package), they had the photographer, stationery, and a lot of the design visions already planned. So we jumped in to help them find the remaining vendors like the band, florist, transportation, rentals, and more! Jenny & Michael really did a great job making awesome decisions with the wedding plans and it was SO fun to see all their plans come together!

A Brisk October Day!

Jenny and Michael were married on September 21, and while it was pouring rain and crazy, sideways wind; the wedding was beautiful and all came together. Although the weather was less than ideal, one of the things we do well is acting quickly! Adjustments were made on the spot to get the ceremony moved out from the rain and Jenny and Michael were married!

Congratulations Jenny & Michael! It was great to work with you to make your wedding dreams come true! All our best to you two in the next stages of your life!
