A Med Student and a Pharmacy Student walk into a bar…

Hayley and Eric met as students at the University of Iowa. Eric was in medical school and Hayley was a pharmacy student… a perfect pair! Eric was on rotation in the ICU when he connected with Hayley (not a bar, but you get the joke, right?). From there, their love story took off and the rest was history. According to Eric, he really impressed Hayley with his knowledge of ventilator settings and other medical things because 4 years later, the two were engaged! We’re not sure if that’s exactly what won Hayley over, but it probably helped!

What summer weddings are made of

July 25th, 2020. Though a bit breezy, it was a gorgeous and sunny summer day at Little Lights on the Lane. The perfect day to get married! Pops of peach and coral made things bright and colorful which paired perfectly with Hayley’s blush colored wedding gown (swoon!). After a long 3 months of wedding planning in the middle of a pandemic, the day could not have come together more perfectly! A gorgeous outdoor ceremony complete with floral arch pieces from Hydrangea Bloom, a delicious dinner from Popoli, and a party like no other outside on the large covered porch made for a wedding to remember! When you picture “Summer outdoor weddings,” you picture Hayley and Eric’s wedding day.

Filling in the gaps

Hayley and Eric came to us to help coordinate their wedding day after they had most of their big details sorted out already. For them, The Essentials package was the perfect option! We were able to come in 6 weeks before their wedding day and really iron out the final details with them to ensure that their wedding day would be as amazing as possible. The couple had chosen a fantastic team of vendors, so this was no difficult task! We are so thrilled that we got to be a part of this incredible day – congratulations Hayley and Eric!
