Erin & Bryan’s Wedding at the Carriage House in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

An Elegant April Wedding at the Carriage House in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Full Hearts

In 2017, Erin and Bryan were brought together at a wedding that would unknowingly set the stage for their own love story. Erin was the matron of honor for her best friend, who was marrying Bryan’s brother. As the best man, Bryan found himself spending a considerable amount of time with Erin during the wedding festivities. They enjoyed each other’s company, sharing conversations that left a lasting impression.

As the years went by, Erin’s best friend (Paula) would occasionally mention Bryan in their conversations. Paula always noted how much Erin and Bryan had in common, sparking an interest that Erin couldn’t shake. Yet, life had placed them in different cities—Bryan in Seattle and Erin in Cedar Falls—and they were each navigating their paths and stages of life. Remembering Paula’s words, Erin reached out to Bryan, hoping to find a friend in him. She sent him a friend request on Facebook and asked if he would like to start a friendship. Bryan readily agreed, and what began as a simple connection soon evolved into something far more profound.

Perfectly Planned Festivities

After years of growing closer and overcoming life’s challenges, Erin and Bryan were ready to celebrate with their own special day. To bring their dream wedding to life, Erin and Bryan turned to Emily, the talented owner of Soirée Wedding Planning. With Erin recovering from major surgery, the couple needed comprehensive assistance to ensure every detail was perfect without adding stress to Erin’s recovery process.

Understanding the importance of Erin’s health and their desire for personal touches, Emily and the Soirée Wedding Planning team stepped in to manage every aspect of the wedding with the Experience Package. On the wedding day, Erin and Bryan’s vision came to life with beautiful white roses, elegant decor, and a timeless color scheme. The reception was a perfect blend of elegance and warmth, with every detail meticulously planned by Emily and her team.

Erin & Bryan left us a 5-star review on Wedding Wire:

I got engaged a few weeks before having major surgery that would require months of recovery. A little while after surgery, we looked into getting a wedding planner to help reduce the stress and workload of planning a wedding, so I could focus on healing. This is where Emily and Soirée came in. Emily and her team were so happy to help us, and listened to our story and reasons for choosing their services. From the beginning they were committed to reducing the stress aspect, simplifying choices, making trusted recommendations, and accompanying us on site visits to make sure we asked the right questions. Regular emails with short “to do” lists kept me on track without overwhelming me. All emails and messages were responded to promptly, sometimes within minutes. Gracie was our coordinator on the day of our wedding, from 12-10pm, and she did a phenomenal job of keeping everything on schedule, organized, and the least chaotic possible. She was so kind and accommodating, regularly checking in to make sure we were having the best time possible and seeing what she could take care of. We were able to leave the venue on time because almost everything was ready packed up and loaded. I certainly could not do her job and am just in awe of her skills and fortitude. I do not plan on ever getting married again, but I certainly would use Soirée again if I did, and I will recommend them to anyone who needs help with planning their own wedding. They have all those awards for a reason…they ARE the best!
