Elyssa & Alex’s Downtown Chicago Wedding

We love our Chicago couples! Elyssa and Alex are simply the sweetest and we had a ton of fun planning their wedding. We first were introduced to the happy couple, by the bride’s coworker Megan, who happens to also be a Soirée bride. With rich navy and coral wedding colors plus a modern style, we planned a fabulous celebration for guests to enjoy.

The wedding day started with the couple getting ready at separate locations, and they didn’t see each other prior to the ceremony. It was a truly special moment when the couple saw each other for the first time walking down the aisle at the gorgeous Old St. Patrick’s Church. The groom couldn’t stop smiling at his bride as she was escorted by her father.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres at Ovation Chicago while the wedding party traveled around downtown taking photos in their trolley. The most delicious dinner was catered by the Hearty Boys. It was probably the best wedding food we’ve ever had – and after about nine years in this industry – that is saying something!

Some of our favorite things from this wedding were all the printed stationery & signage that matched the couple’s modern & fresh style. We also were completely in love with the table centerpieces that we collaborated with Anna Held Floral Studio on. The mixed metals + the varied heights of the floral and candles made for a gorgeous tablescape. Once the candles were lit, space was simply radiant. The photos below of the guests glowing in the candlelight is magical!
