Des Moines is home to some of our favorites: delicious food (looking at you Tasty Tacos), heavenly local brews, our ever-growing public art and now, the Soirée Wedding Planning team!

The thing about Des Moines is this: if you were born here, you’re proud of your heritage. If you moved here, you stumbled upon the greatest secret in the Midwest! Engagement photo season is underway and our Soirée team joined up with Meredith Kestel from Midwest LifeShots Photography to show off the coolest murals, public art displays, and urban photo opportunities to celebrate your love for Des Moines (and each other!). We had the privilege of working with recently engaged Des Moines enthusiasts, the adorable and fun couple – Aly and Austen.

An Ideal Itinerary

In total, we spent just over an hour hitting some of the best urban photo spots in Des Moines Metro. It was easy to be able to get such an awesome variety of images and backdrops for engagement photos, we couldn’t help but share these amazing ideas for your pictures!
