How It All Began

Courtney and Zaid’s romance started on a dating app, and then they hit it off over their first date at The Mill in Iowa City. They both love being outside, so weekend hikes became their thing. And it was on one of those hikes at Kent Park where Zaid proposed.

The Day

Courtney and Zaid chose Celebration Farm in Iowa City for both their ceremony and reception, and filled the whole day with really sweet, personal touches that blended their Middle Eastern and American backgrounds in a thoughtful way. One of the things that made Courtney and Zaid’s day so special was all the personal touches they included. Their cute dog was even part of the celebration with adorable stickers of him that guests could add to the guest book (cutest idea ever)! A charcuterie board from Graze welcomed everyone, and there were so many little details throughout the day, from table decor featuring photos of the couple to fan favors with a sign that read, “thanks for being our biggest fan.
