Matchmaker Make Me a Match

Many of the couples that we have the honor of working with meet online or through a dating app, but this story is so inspiring and unique. Chris and Courtney met through a true matchmaker! Chris, a handsome single lawyer, was recruited by the service and was set up on some dates, but hadn’t yet found the one. Courtney, a gorgeous CPA saw an ad for the service in November 2018 and decided to give it a try. Both were at a point where they had become successful in their careers and made the leap to try something new in the hopes of meeting “the one!” Courtney’s matchmaker, Robyn, called her 2 weeks later to tell her she had a potential match!

Baking Turned Into Love At First Bite

On December 1st, the morning of their first date, Courtney was baking for a Christmas cookie exchange. She brought her homemade cookies to the date which melted Chris’s heart and he immediately knew she was the one. Courtney knew Chris was the one after he insisted on dropping her off at the airport just so he could he could see her one last time before her business trip. Later that month Chris met Courtney’s family at Christmas.

International Love Story

A few weeks later they decided to take a last minute vacation to Egypt and Dubai. The rest, as they say, is history! They fell in love and Chris surprised Courtney with a beautiful proposal on the beach in Cabo San Lucas 6 months later. Their matchmaking service, Tawkify, treated Courtney and Chris to an engagement photo shoot and filmed their story.

Love Keeps Blooming

Chris and Courtney’s beautiful wedding was at the lush Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens in her hometown. Afterwards they had an elegant reception at Republic On Grand. The evening was full of dancing, laughter, drinks, and- of course- cookies!
