Brittany and Joe’s Wedding at Little Lights on the Lane in West Branch, Iowa
A Joyful and Family-Oriented Wedding at Little Lights on the Lane in West Branch, Iowa
A Love so Pure and Thoughtful
Brittany and Joe met during the fall semester in calculus class at Augustana College. Joe played basketball at Augie, and Brittany thought he was the stereotypical jock, skipping class and doesn’t care about school. Turns out Matt’s a genius. Brittany later found out that Joe would sit and wait for her to finish their weekly quiz so he could turn it in at the same time and walk out together. They slowly built a friendship during that school year when Joe was an RA and Brittany was a front desk worker in the same dorm building. They went on a date the following summer and have been together ever since.
Joe has been planning for the engagement since May of 2020 when he reached out to a mutual friend who is a diamontologist to get help to design the ring. Brittany and Joe never talked about what she would want, but he looked on Brittany’s Pinterest account and one of her best friends and came up with something better than she could ever imagine. COVID kept ruining his plans because things kept getting shut down, so he ended up on plan C. One Saturday Morning in Chicago, Joe and Brittany Ubered to the start of the Magnificent Mile, got coffee, and ended up in Millennium Park to look at the Christmas decorations. Brittany was so cold and wanted to get going, but Joe stopped her and got down on one knee. Little did Brittany know that her entire family had been hiding out, watching and capturing their entire engagement. Since everything was closed, everyone returned to their apartment to enjoy Joe’s dad’s famous waffles. From picking out the diamond and designing the ring and band to coordinating the morning of, the thoughts and intentions were so pure and thoughtful. Joe even drew a map of Millennium Park with locations A, B, C, and D, which he would propose based on the number of people in the park.
The Final Details
With almost all wedding vendors and details planned, Brittany and Joe were needing assistance with the small details around the timeline, vendor coordination and day of hiccups that would take their attention away from their day. With the reminder of their wedding planning, The Essentials Package was the best for them.
It truly was a day to remember. Emily will always remember Brittany’s sweet Great Grandmother give her a huge bear hug, thanking her for a beautiful wedding day! We wish Joe and Brittany a life full of love and happiness! 🤍
