Betsy & John’s Wedding at Wilson’s Ciderhouse and Venue in Iowa City, Iowa
Betsy and John – Love at First Sight
Betsy and John first met when they were both freshmen in college. It all started when they met at a formal event, but they were actually both attending with different dates. From that night, they instantly knew that they were there with the wrong people and the rest is history! Betsy is now an 8th Grade English teacher at Prairie Middle School in Cedar Rapids and John just completed his MBA at the University of Iowa (two weeks before their wedding, by the way)!
The Wedding Plan to Help You Relax
Betsy and John had a dream team of vendors for their wedding day. The couple put all of their trust into who they were working with and really let the vendors show off their skills. A win-win for everyone! Betsy and John were looking for someone to knock out their final details leading up to their wedding and for someone to take care of the details on the day of. It was important for them to have a relaxing day that they could enjoy and cherish forever. This made the The Essentials package the perfect choice for them. The couple wanted to make sure everyone was having a great time during their big day, but also wanted to make sure things were flowing smoothly and on time. A lot of things are always going on at weddings, and the couple didn’t want to have to take care of every single detail. The ultimate goal for all of us was for the couple to have a beautiful day surrounded by family and friends.
When Wedding Dreams become Reality
The couple was striving for an intimate, ethereal, luxurious garden wedding design with ivory, blush, lots of greenery and a few hints of lavender and mauve. The look was achieved beautifully as the vendors worked together. A gorgeous display of florals provided by Hydrangea Bloom could be seen throughout the venue during both the ceremony and reception. With florals covering a moongate provided by Borrow My Vintage, a grand hoop from the ceiling that was provided and installed by Unique Events, and the most beautiful floral garland featured on the head table, it was clear that this day could not have been successful without the wonderful teamwork that was expressed by all of the vendors. The couple’s trust in their vendors really made the day a huge success and resulted in an absolutely beautiful wedding!
