A Colorful Indian Fusion Celebration

The Ceremony

Their wedding celebrations began in Kathmandu, Nepal, with a ceremony in June 2025 and a family celebration in early July. Since not everyone could travel overseas, the couple planned a vibrant U.S. reception in Des Moines for their friends and extended family.

Working With Soirée

Aryaa and Alex came to Soirée honestly: “We have no idea what we are doing! We need lots of help.” Their priorities were clear:

Aryaa: colors, florals, and decorations

Alex: that Aryaa was happy (he really said this)

Both: that family and friends felt comfortable and had a great time

We helped the couple pull together vendors for catering, DJ, photography, décor, and all the details that would make the Des Moines celebration feel cohesive, personal, and unforgettable. Food was a major focus, so they booked an Indian buffet-style menu to let guests enjoy a variety of dishes.

The Wedding Day Details

The U.S. reception took place on October 25, 2025, at the Downtown Des Moines Marriott. The design was vibrant, colorful, and full of energy, inspired by elements of a Hindu celebration without including a ceremony. Bold florals, rich textures, upbeat music, and bright décor set the tone for a lively night.

Guests danced for hours, enjoyed the food, and mingled comfortably across both of their families. The event perfectly reflected the couple’s fun & thoughtful ideas, and it was clear everyone had a night to remember.
