Anne & Harry’s Wedding in Des Moines, Iowa

“Thanks-a-latte!”

Those are the three words that started this love story. Harry worked at a local Arkansas Starbucks that Anne frequented, at first for the coffee, but then a cute barista caught her eye. After a few drive thru encounters, it was realized that they had a mutual friend who provided Harry with Anne’s number and the rest is history!

The same mistake won’t happen twice!

Harry regretted not kissing Anne goodnight after their first date at a cidery. Harry often referred to the “goof” he made on that first date, so when it came time for Harry to propose to Anne, he wanted to redeem himself. Some friends had invited them to the same cidery they had their first date and when they arrived, Harry parked a ways away from the building to ensure they would walk past that infamous parking spot from their first date. When they arrived at the spot, Harry said “I messed up on our first date but I am not going to mess up today,” and then got down on one knee and proposed. When they entered the cidery, their friends and family were there to greet them and celebrate, which even included 3 of Anne’s best friends who drove over 8 hours to celebrate with them!

Third time’s a charm!

Due to being out of state, the couple opted for The Experience package for wedding planning. It was such a pleasure to help Anna and Harry plan their beautiful wedding! Anne and Harry’s wedding had three dates due to the unexpected 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. Originally planned for May, Anne and Harry decided to postpone their wedding until October of that same year; however, due to continued concerns with the pandemic, Anne and Harry opted to just have a micro-wedding on October 9, 2020 at their church with just a few family members and postpone celebrating safely with the rest of their friends and family until October 9, 2021 at a new venue.
