Third Time’s a Charm!

Will and Allie met while working for the same Member of Congress. Allie was based out of Washington, DC, and Will was located in Iowa. They would talk on the phone multiple times a day and quickly became friends! After the elections, Will accepted a new position in Washington, DC. They started dating shortly after his move.

Will tried to propose to Allie twice before finally pulling it off. He first planned to propose over Mother’s Day weekend when their families were in town. Unfortunately, the ring wasn’t ready in time.

A couple of weeks later, Allie’s best friend, who lives in Portland, decided to fly to DC for a surprise visit. Will thought this was the perfect time to propose! Unfortunately, the evening he had planned, he had to work late. Finally, on the last night of Allie’s friend’s visit, she wanted to visit the monuments before they went to Happy Hour. Will got down on one knee and popped the question at the bottom of the Lincoln Memorial.

No Stress Weekend

Allie and Will were determined to accomplish most of the planning for their wedding day.
